Default Linked Model Import Categories Control

We have a linked fire model into our project. They are linking in a portion of their information from 3D CAD into their Revit file that we are linking in. Everything worked fine until recently. Instead of everything showing up when we reload their latest model now the 3D cad portion is turned off in the Import categories for their model. Not too big a deal we can add it to a view template to turn it on but is there a location to globally control this for the entire model?

Does the Manage / Object Styles not do this? Was the ACad DWG perhaps linked / imported into "Current View Only" in the Fire model?
