Versions of Office with Access are not cheap. It would be better to put the data (or a middle tier ODBC connection to it) on a web server and develop an html UI.

I agree. The database idea might be bested by your latest contribution.
It seems are things are shifting to being web-based.

That move is something I am very open to as this fits my current interest in all things programming to a tee.
Still, I lack practicial coding experience, the golden key, but am studying away my ignorance of that topic slowly and surely.
I may return in a week or two when things calm down in drawing production land to flesh this idea of yours out, Ed.

    Thanks over and over........and over.

I was really talking to Melanie. Her circumstances are different and you said you wanted to keep yours simple with just a few users.

The non-Access Office still includes the run-time, so a front-end Access Application can be built. We do that for a few things, a couple of developers have the full version and the rest have the run-time version.

It's definitely something to keep in mind as we're moving forward and modernizing some of our processes and support programs, thanks.

One day at a time. I'm pretty excited to be starting training for our next rollout of Maximo next week. After that project is complete, we'll be looking at other technology improvements; more mobile devices and data access through them, bas upgrades, etc.
