    Default Flow Arrows

Is there a way to get flow arrows on a duct and/or pipe? We do it in AutoCAD MEP and wanted to know if Revit could do it also OOTB or if anyone has a way of doing it? Were using RMEP 2009.

    Thanks
    Larry

There is currently no way to accomplish this in Revit MEP.

Is this something that you typically show on construction documents or is it used only "internally"?

    Hey Larry,
All what we do over here is we modified a pipe tag and created one tag called flow arrow right and also one called flow arrow left. Its a work around but it works. Drop me an e-mail if you need a little more help.

This is a basic item for construction documents, why on earth wouldn't flow arrows be automatically placed?

I agree.... this is something that we like to place on our construction documents. It makes following piping and ductwork ALOT easier....

We've got a simple symbol that you can align and lock to the pipe so that it moves with it. Rotate any direction you need - no problem.

The spacebar is great for rotating the flow arrow we use (symbol based) as well, especially when the architect decides the building will be rotated 32 degrees!!
