Question AutoCAD Color Index and RGB

I am looking for a way to export the AutoCAD Color Index and its associated RGB assignment. Any help in this area?

    Thank you.

    Try this:

    https://tsc.wes.army.mil/products/ts...utocad_RGB.pdf
    http://www.isctex.net/acadcolors.php

I'm not sure how accurate it is.

    Mike,

That is in the right direction but as in that thread I have the same concerns as John.

I don't think John understands. The ACI is an index. One ACI number, is composed of 3 parts, a red part, a green part, and a blue part. You can relate all ACI values to an rgb/pantone value, but you can't relate all rgb values to an ACI, since it only has 256 values and rgb has millions. HTH.

I think he understands quite well.
The comment was about adesk choosing to put out a technical document which tells you you can use a range of numbers which acad will not accept because they are defined with values between 0-1 whilst acad requires numbers in the range 0-255.

I see what you're saying now. In the previous thread, you stated that ACI used 3 components, not RGB, which is what you meant. I remember this subject somewhere in a vb ng. I'll see if I can find it.

This subject comes up a lot. Here is a thread that gives you a 1:1 list. However, it in a vb function.

Just curious, why are you needing the conversion info? I havn't found a need for it in the work I do.
