Default Conc Beam - Cut shape? Edit shape?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but..

How can I cut a beam so it has a level bottom but the top is pitched in two directions?
(see screen shot, I want a special beam at these locations, I have others in the project that are just sloped)

I tried the cut tool, and was going to use the roof slabs to cut it, but i wouldn't let me.

Or is there another way to do this?

    Thanks

Did you use reference planes with the cut tool? Perhaps you could use two beams in a kind of mirror image, using the cut tool w/ref planes. Does that make sense? Of course, this is coming from a novice Revit user.... hope it helps.

No I didn't, I don't know anything about ref planes, I'm not what you would call a Revit expert either.

I will look into it and get back to you.
I did notice that one of my "cut" options was to select a ref plane, I'll see if that works.

    Thanks

A tappered concrete beam family, may work..? This one is pitched at center, you will need to set Z-direction justification to bottom
and adjust with and depth parameters, the d3 parameter is at center.

Or if you do not wish to use tappered beam family, then try cutting your beams with opening by face tool, this should work for concrete beams.

Other option would be to use the opening by face tool to cut concrete beams.
