Help to change size of pipe up down symbol

I can't seem to figure out how to change the size of the pipe up/down symbol when in coarse or medium view. It is currently to large at the scale I'm viewing. Is there a way to scale these down so they show up a little smaller?

You can change the annotation size in MEP Settings.

And you'll need to make sure your units rounding is set to 1/32" or 1/64" if you choose to use one of those fractions for your drop/rise annotation size. Or it will round up and appear larger than you specified.
