Default Why Does AutoCad keep losing my previous zooms

For example, I zoom in, a small amount, no regen required. Trying to then zoom previous it might prompt that it will require a regen, or not. At any rate, the zoom previous is not remotely related to reality. It's several steps previous, and/or a zoom all.

I've noted this as being 2011 bug, just because that's what I'm currently using, but I know it's been around since release 2006. Which begs the question (rant on):

Do the AutoCad developers have any interest in fixing this? It does impact my workday, frustrating.

Is REGENAUTO set to OFF or your REGENMODE variable set to 0?
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

Do you have any 3rd party software installed? When I have one of ours loaded Maximize Viewport works, but the layout is visable. Strange!
Does it happen on the Model tab or just in a viewport?

    REGENAUTO was set to ON
    REGENMODE was set to 1

BTW, Sorry for taking so long responding. The only way I seem to be able to navigate back to this forum is via Google search, LOL. Say for "AUGI mleisk zoom previous". Works, anyway

Happening in Model Space, with various releases to date. No third party software that I know of. Fairly extensive extents, fwiw.
