Default AR42-2: Weighing Anchor in Architectural Desktop

    Instructor: Matt Dillon

Class Description: Anchors in Autodesk® Architectural Desktop are a way of applying rules to an object that dictate how it will act in relation to another object. Most anchors will control how an object is positioned and oriented, although some will have nothing to do with geometry. Some anchors are automatically applied by Architectural Desktop while others are managed directly by the user. An example of an automatically placed anchor, for example, occurs when you insert a door into a wall. The wall anchor that is applied makes sure that the door cuts it’s own opening in the wall, stays with the wall, and determines where in the wall the door will be.
