Unhappy Grid Lines Extend Beyond Profile Stationing

I'm using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012. I can create a profile with stationing from 0+00 to 2+00 and everything appears fine. I have my grid lines, then a vertical space, then the border, if you will, of my profile. Outside of this border I have my elevations. When I change stationing range to 0+00 to 0+50, I now have horizontal grid lines extending past my border. If i go into Edit Profile View Style and change Axis Offset to 0, those extended horizontal grid lines disappear. But then so does that space between the grid and the profile border. I would like to maintain that space between the grid lines and the border, but I would also like to create a profile with stationing from 0+00 to 0+50 and not have those extended grid lines. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Please let me know if you need more information. Thank you.

Can you post a picture or a copy of the drawing showing the problem?

Never uploaded JPG images before, so let's see if I can get this right. Profile-01 shows profile stationing from -0+25 to 1+00. Profile-02 shows profile stationing from -0+25 to 0+75. And my Axis Offset is set to 0.35 left and right for both profiles.

I'm still not sure what is causing this. Would you be able to upload a sample drawing?

Not sure about uploading a drawing. But I do know that if I set Axis Offset to 0, it goes away. I might try it with a default profile setup. Maybe there is something wrong with the template I'm using. I will keep you posted on my progress.

I am also having this problem, and there is no solution here. Changing the axis offset to 0 in the profile view style doesn't remove the lines for me. Help.

Also, I'm having trouble with the text style not updating in the profile view. I can change the size, but when I try to change the text style, nothing happens. Please help.

Also, I've recovered the drawing it says there are no errors.

i am running civil 3d 2013 and just recently changed a profile to a very small station size and the grids are staying at a distance of 100 and wont shrink down.

I found the solution to my own problem and will share it here.

It all comes down to the Grid Axis Properties. Grid axes properties.PNG

If the major interval is set at 100 then the profile will default a total line length to 100 or to the minor if its set to 25 Grid Lines.PNG

By changing my major grid interval to 50 and setting my minor to 10 it now can interact with the profile stations i have chosen more predictably Fixed cross section.PNG
