Default ED21-1: What Should We Really Be Teaching in the AutoCAD Classroom?

    Instructor: J.C. Malitzke

Class Description: For the past 20 years, AutoCAD has been the program of choice in our CAD classrooms. As the program has evolved, what have we as instructors done to redesign our programs to meet the challenges of the ever-changing classroom? If you teach AutoCAD in a high school or college, this class is for you. With the release of AutoCAD 2006, most educators are implementing this software in their curriculums for fall 2005 or spring 2006. In this session, you'll learn what needs to be presented in your classes. We'll explore new tools available in recent releases, as well as tried-and-true commands and features. We'll explore the new features from both a technical and pedagogical point of view. But what about Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Architectural Desktop, or Autodesk Revit? Lively discussions will follow.
