Class Description: Good materials, along with lighting, are important elements in creating convincing visualizations for your clients. In this session, you will learn to use the parametric maps available in 3ds Max and Autodesk VIZ to make materials that can quickly be changed for increased production value. Use these maps and techniques to generate materials that simulate beveled siding or clapboards, architectural glazing, and acoustic ceiling tiles, for example. Once you learn the controls available with parametric maps, you'll easily discover uses that fit your own needs. Attendees must know the 3ds Max or VIZ interface and have a good fundamental knowledge of the Material Editor.
