Default GS33-3: Harnessing the Combined Power of GIS and CAD

Instructors: Jon Hansen - Autodesk, Inc. and Doug Radtke

Class Description: GIS and CAD information is no longer just for engineering or GIS professionals. It is often needed by different groups both within and outside an organization. Combining these existing data sources is a valuable way to improve many aspects of an organization’s business. This presentation will discuss and demonstrate the increasing value and power of GIS/CAD data integration by showing real-life situations. Existing applications, built on Autodesk products, will be used to show how GIS and CAD information can be easily combined and made available to bridge the gap between traditional GIS and CAD professionals and everyday users.
