Class Description: This session will cover the latest from the International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI) as well as related activities at NBIMS, OSCRE, FIATECH, AIA, CSI, ISO, and other groups. The term "buildingSMART" is being used to include all of these efforts as well as a broad philosophy of open, interoperability in the construction industry. This session will include the latest news as well as some real-life experience on projects, and some (probably controversial) opinions on what this all really means to us today.
