Question Wblock all drawings in a Directory

I've found that like most, my drawings have grown exponentially in size. I've purged, audited, deleted layer filters, removed reggapps, etc. The only was to get the drawings down is WBLOCK. But I have a lot of drawings.

Anyone know of an app or lisp that will Wblock all files from a directory?

    Thanks,
    Guardsman3

Look at ScriptPro; if memory serves it's still free from Autodesk Labs.

You could also look into "Changing Hundreds of AutoCAD Drawings in a Hurry" by Dan Abbot.
I believe one of his examples is doing exactly what you are trying to do, WBLOCK out all the drawings in a directory.

    Check out THIS THREAD too.

I was just about to say, "that was one of my favorite classes of all time!"... until I followed that link and see that I've already told you that, so, no need to repeat myself.

Of course, I will say: the AU handouts are also available in the forums now -

LOL, yea I actually went looking for that thread because I know you had linked to the hand out.

I went to one of Dan's clinics being held at a local reseller/training company about 6 months ago.
I mentioned that thread to Dan and sent him a link.

    His email reply:
    Ted,

Thanks for sending this along. If you are in touch with Melanie again, tell her I was very pleased to hear that I "completely changed her approach." That's what I was trying to do.

    Nice to see you again.

Thanks for all the replies. I don't really have the time to learn and play with scripts at the moment. I was looking for perhaps some third party utiliy.

    Regards.
