Default I know I'm going to look bad but .....

Maybe its because its a Monday. Thats good I'll blame it on that.

When I started to dimension a simple part the dimension came out much smaller (not the sizwe of the text) than it sould have. The parts edge is built to 25mm but on the drawing the dimension comes out as 0.49. I have made a couple other parts and the same thing happens and I am stumped.

I have used the drawing feature to put multiple views of the same part, but with different scale factors, and the dimesnion stays the same in all views. Just too small a number. Why would a parts dimension scale in the dawing?

I confirmed on the part that the edge being dimensioned is 25.

    ???????????????

    THanks in advance

I don't feel so bad but I should have caught this one. Unfortunatly, it was a science teacher that picked it up in seconds. Want a hint?

    12/25.4 = 0.49

My drawing is an imperial template and the object is metric. As soon as I open the metric drawing template it is correct.

    Solution found. Want a hint? 12/25.4 = 0.49

Unfortunately it was a science teacher that picked this one up in seconds.

What happened was when I chose the template I used the pull-down menu that defaults to imperial. I went in and opened a metric template and everything works fine.
