Question Shadows casting on background image when printing.

Has anyone come across this problem before where in an elevation view (shading with edges) with an imported image as a backdrop the shadows actually cast onto the image when trying to print. See attached file which is a mock-up to show the problem.

I've also had a similar problem but it wasn't an image it was an AutoCAD drawing that was being "blanked" by the white shadow. I was lucky enough to be able to make the shadows go in the opposite direction and avoid the AutoCAD background.

Sorry it's not much help but at least you know it's not just you.

    Regards,

    Paul

I just ran a test render to check and I cannot see a problem at the moment.

The original render and the pdf are attached.

I think we're talking printing a shaded/shadowed image - not a rendered image. I've run into the same thing on images I've imported into a shaded/shadowed view too...

Sorry if it was not clear but it was, as Aaron has pointed out, a shaded with edges\shadowed image, not a rendered image. Thanks anyway.

OK, I tried that and yes, I can confirm the problem.

Can't see a solution or workaround for this, so I suggest you send it to support.
