Default ED111-1: Collaborative Design Techniques in the Classroom

Instructors: Thomas Singer with Steve Brown and Scot Rabe

Class Description: Design teams require a collaborative effort to complete designs. This class will provide techniques and tools to use in the classroom that will allow both local and remote teams to create and operate complete project designs. This lab will immerse you into the use of Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Streamline -- paired with a VOIP tool -- to illustrate a low-cost solution for educators. This technique has been used for over 7 years by several educational institutions around the United States. The instructor and lab assistants are all experts in collaborative design and have been training faculty for the last 3 years through a National Science Foundation grant. (NSF-ATE 0402023)
