Default CV314-1: AutoCAD® Map 3D for Civil Engineers and Surveyors

    Instructor: Rick Ellis

Class Description: If you're one of those users who ignores the Map pulldown menu or closes the Map Explorer as soon as it appears on your screen, this class is for you. AutoCAD Map 3D (included in AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoCAD Land Desktop) features many powerful, productivity-enhancing tools. You'll learn to work with other file formats (i.e., ArcView ShapeFiles) without losing their intelligence; manage large datasets and convert coordinate systems of existing drawings; automate annotation of large sets of objects by leveraging attached data; and build a surface in Civil 3D by extracting the elevation data from GIS contours. Take this opportunity to learn Map 3D and take advantage of a tool that is already on your desktop.
