Default GS204-3: From CAD Data to Spatial Databases with AutoCAD® Map 3D

    Instructor: Mark Christian

Class Description: With AutoCAD Map 3D, users have tools at their disposal to move beyond the DWG file format and ensure that valuable data can be easily managed and integrated into the broader Information Technology (IT) landscape. The purpose of this class is to introduce traditional CAD users to a new way of working and managing CAD- based information by utilizing a relational database management system (RDBMS). Learn about the benefits of an RDBMS, database options, the processes involved in moving CAD data stored in DWG to a spatial database, and database-driven workflows that support the integration of CAD and GIS.
