Default GS304-2: Preparing AutoCAD Drawings for GIS

    Instructor: Jeremiah McKnelly

Class Description: In this session, you’ll see real data being prepared for GIS through an implementation process that we’ll outline step-by-step. One of the common tasks that many organizations face is taking existing AutoCAD drawings and preparing them for use as GIS data. Whether you are using AutoCAD Map 3D as your main GIS software or your files are being converted to other data stores, the files need to be clean. Additionally, if you need to transform the coordinate system, add object data, create links, or create relationships among your objects, the best place to do that is within AutoCAD Map. Learn to take advantage of your most valuable resource -- the AutoCAD users in your organization!
