    Default Batt Roof Insulation

I know i am already looking for a work around. So i am looking for some more options on how to graphically show this.

    But here goes my request.

I have a sloped standing seam metal roof. It is supported by z purlins to the underside of the roof. It is insulated with 10" of blanket insulation between the purlins and the roof. So the profile of this insulation will be 10" between purlins and 2" above the purlins. Think 'warped' sine curve. I would love to use the insulation fill, however I just don't think that will be possible. I have thought about filled regions but the pattern won't be parallel to the roof slope.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Can you simply rotate the hatch pattern of the filled region to match the roof slope?

I have always just drawn lines in between the purlins in the detail (purlins are detail items, too). What I do is start a line coming off the purlin, angling down away from the roof, and then continuing parallel to the roof at whatever distance away, 10" in your case, and then turning the line back up to the next purlin. Then I just use the fillet curve line tool to curve the ends of those lines, and then go back and just use the batt insulation line tool to fill in the space. It's not exact but it gets the point across.

Thanks, that should do nicely. You are right its not exact.
