Question How to convert units according to Encient style?

    Dear Sir,

This is with reference to my professional experience in order to working in temple designing, I am facing one technical problem for which I seek guidelines from you.

At present basic concept of inch conversion is ten parts in the AutoCAD. However, I would like to know how to convert an inch into eight parts. It is highly utilized in temple designing and such other Architectural Constructional Designs.

My adherence to AutoCAD software is since number of years, I am facing this problem. The problem is also faced by number of other such persons to whom I use to work with.

Kindly suggest if there is any module for such conversion.

    Thanks

I don't think there's any way you can make it display sixths of an inch, but you could change your dimension style to something more useful for you. You could, for example, add a multiplier of 6 to your dimension units and measure everything in picas or change to a decimal display.
AutoCAD does recognize picas for the purpose of conversion however so you can enter them with the cvunit command in AutoLISP.
