Problems Converting Revit Titleblock into Autocad

I've been having a heck of a time trying to take my titleblock that I created in Revit 2013 into Autocad
It will appear just fine in autocad when I open it directly but when I xref it into a sheet file I get nothing visible.

Has anyone else had this problem?

How are you exporting from Revit to ACAD?

Can you maybe post an example?

Did the Title Block get exported to PaperSpace? Xrefs only see the data in a .dwg's ModelSpace.

Our site plan was done originally in autocad and I wanted to switch to our Revit created title block so I had re-pathed what was our previous (autocad created) tblock to the new one after converting it from revit into autocad

I've never heard of xref's only coming into mspace.

I think what fleckd was asking is if the ACAD titleblock in paperspace or modelspace?

When referencing a .dwg as an Xref, the only objects that will come through from it are those objects that are in ModelSpace in that referenced .dwg file. If the objects you want to reference are in the Xref's PaperSpace, you'll have to move them into ModelSpace first, or they won't show up.

Here's a simple test, if you'd like: Start a new drawing and draw and "M" with lines in ModelSpace and a "P" in one of the Layout tabs. Save that file and then Xref it into another new drawing.

Cory is correct. The title block is exported to paper space. In your CAD file, window around the title block and use the 'WBLOCK' command to create a new .dwg file. You'd probably want to make sure that you convert required text to attributes in a block. Been a while since I actually cared to this in CAD, so I'm quite rusty on the workflow.

Yes, this is correct. At this point to avoid further brain cell loss I'm just pasting it into my site plan. I've only one sheet where it is needed anyway. Hopefully my consultants won't have the issues i'm finding

I seem to recall a "Move from Paperspace to Modelspace" command...or was it the other way around?

it does both. You have to be in paper space, hopefully with just one view port. 'CHSPACE' is the key command, otherwise it can be found under the modify menu.
