My company is moving into Revit modelling of commercial kitchens and equipment for our client. I was asked by a co-worker how to make a pipe sweep that moves in more than 1 plane and I can't figure it out.
I have attached an image of what I need - and have accomplished temporarily but not the way I think it should be done! I had to draw a wall on a diagonal (left-right) as well as with a sloped top and use this as a path for the pipe. somehow, I don't think it should be this complicated. I can't go around drawing complicated walls just to get a few pipes to work... right?
how do I draw a 3D sketch line that goes vertically up, diagonally sideways and up, and then horizontally away and then vertically up again? (confused? I know I am.)
I can't seem to get reference planes or lines in the 3D view, nor can I draw a 3D or multi-planar model line on which to path my sweep. Maybe I'm just missing something simple... I have checked out many forums and sweep tutorials and help files and the autodesk help files imply that these sweeps can be multi-planar, but I still can't figure it out.
so puzzled...
