    Default Master Layer State (SSM)

Summary: Having multiple "master" layer states managed through the sheet set and applied to sheet views. Changing the master affects all viewports the layer state is applied to.

Description: Similar to how master pages work in Adobe InDesign, having master layer states managed through the sheet set manager would increase efficiency when applying layer state changes to multiple viewports on different sheets.

This can be managed through an additional tab in the sheet set manager (View States), and these "view states" can be added to the sheet set from layer states created in other dwg files.

It would be proper file management to have these set in the template sheet file of the sheet set.

The layer states are then added to the sheet set and listed where they can be renamed or labeled/numbered (A,B.etc., or 1.2,etc.).

To apply the master, you can right click your sheet view and select "Apply View State" which expands to the list of view states that were added to the sheet set.

In addition, when the master layer state is updated, the sheet views/viewports it is applied to updates as well.

Having access directly from the sheet set to edit these layer states would be a plus too. This can either be a split dialog box, just like the layer manager with a preview viewport above or just opens the file on that layer state.

This can make applying layer states easier and quicker.

One last comment: make the rollover preview size for sheets very large, so I don't have to open the file to see it.
