Default 'Pipe Size' Parameter Can't Be Used

Hey guys, I've got an odd family issue that I haven't seen before. I need to add a "Cold Water Connection Size" parameter. We have all these parameters stored in a file, so it's just a simple issue of adding the right one. But when I choose any "pipe size" parameter I get a message of "Parameter Type 'Pipe Size' Cannot Be Used". What gives? Anyone seen this before? Is there a simple fix? What did I do wrong here?

Mind posting the family? I've seen a similar Error Message, but from what I've read - the cause is different.

Not sure if this is what you are doing from your wording, but it sounds like you are trying to add a shared parameter.

For some reason if you try and add a shared parameter directly to a dimension (even to the "radius" in a connector), ie select "add a parameter" instead of selecting from the list available, it will tell you it has to be a 'length' parameter and can't be a 'pipe size'. However if you load the parameter first as a pipe size you can then select it from the list.

    Hope this helps.
