Default Open Text CAD Manager for Livelink using AutoCAD 2012 & 2014

Does anyone use Open Text CAD Manager for Livelink to control Autodesk CAD 2012 to 2014 files with external referances?

We are currently investigating this product and so far I am having nothing but issues. Since Livelink is a web based file server my xrefs will not stay attached without the CAD Manager add on. And when I use the CAD Manager and open a linked file it puts new copies to the xrefs into a file on my workstation. This then causes issues when someone opens the file because it can nt find the xrefs.

Also any ideas in electronicly approving these files with always revolving reviewers?

    Any Thoughts?

A little history as to why I ask.... I work for a BioPharm company as the CAD Manager that has to control all our documents including drawings and we need to maintain revision control. We also are going electronic and away from a paper based system that would include electronic reviews and approvals of our documents and drawings.

    Hi, welcome to AUGI.
I don't use it but I wonder if this setting might be relevant -

Unfortunatly this does not work. The other issue at hand is when I have to give a vendor multiple drawings to work with all the xrefs will not go with it due to these issues.

Ah well; that would have been too easy.
I think you should probably contact the software publisher. They claim it's an all-singing, all-dancing engineering file management system.
    Good luck in your search.

Attached is the file I use for our 2012 RSS Feed, but am having problems accessing it with 2014. Download the txt file and change it to XML or copy the example below into an xml file.
