File paths and Profiles

Does the profile load the search paths, file names and file locations under Files? I haven't worked with the profiles, etc for sometime and I can't remember how all this works. We have a computer here that we re-loaded the profile on and it switch some of his paths (looks like default paths). Do you know why this would of happened?

Profiles store most everything you can set in options. Search paths, display settings… Yep that's why it happened.
