Question complete lockup of Acad 2000i when invoking NW Isometric view in 3d solid model

I have been having continuing issues with some drawing files which I created, when invoking the NW Isometric view ONLY, in model space, on semi simple 3d models (approx. 7-10mb size). Acad simply goes into a lockup mode, and elicites a "not responding" situation, requiring a 3 finger salute to kill the application. This was occurring originally on a machine running windows XP, but I recently switched to a newer machine running Windoz 7, and did not have issues....until today.... I assume it's something resident within the drawing file, which I created, but did bring in some objects from older models. Maybe there was issue with some part...just curious if this has been reported, and what was the cause /cure. t.i.a.

    YEP...
    NADA,

    Command: _audit
    Fix any errors detected? [Yes/No] <N>: Y
    25 Blocks audited
    Pass 1 247 objects audited
    Pass 2 247 objects audited
    Pass 3 1400 objects audited
Total errors found 0 fixed 0

RECOVER didn't do anything either, but I didn't expect it to, as when the drawing locked up, and I killed the app, it didn't damage or corrupt the drawing, and it could be re-opened without a "recovery necessary" warning.

it is a very specific "trigger", and ONLY occurs when invoking the NW Isometric view direction in model space. The weird thing is, it doesn't happen every time I use that command.... sometimes it surfaces the first time I use it in a session, sometimes it happens after working in various stages for hours, and then it will occur. It is very annoying, especially if I have 4 or 5 other drawings open simultaneously in backround which I may be pulling components from (copyclip) to create the working drawing.

Maybe a graphics card/display driver "feature".
Have you tried turning off hardware acceleration?

I've never seen a problem associated with a single view direction.

Afterthought - do you run 2000i in compatability mode? If so, as which OS?
