Masking Not Working

I normally do not have an issue with masking, but all of a sudden I do. it simply is not masking. I have provided two screenshots, before finishing editing mode and after. If I need to provide additional information, I will.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the masking region work if you switch the view from wireframe to hidden line view?

Which elements are you trying to mask? Can you post the file?

Can you set the text in the tag to be opaque and not transparent? Will that give you the desired result?
