Default Frit Glass not not showing a shadow pattern in render?!?!

    Hello,

I created a custom frit pattern material which I want to use in my curtain wall panel. I modified an existing opaque glass panel by using the "cutout" in material appearance tab and uploaded my own image. This created the disired appearance on the glass panels. The problem is that the opaque portion of the glass is not creating a shadow when rendering. You should be seeing stripes of shadow but instead the glass renders as all clear. Can any help, I havent been able to get very far with other threads. Image attached. Also using Revit 2014. Thanks!MWA_D_2014.jpg

To be clear, the image you posted is a live, shaded, view of the model not a "rendered" (using the Rendering dialog) view correct? I would expect this behavior from the live view but not from the rendered view.
