Sheet Total Parameter for Use in Titleblocks

Summary: I want a parameter that tracks the total number of sheets in the project. I can also see the need for a parameter for sub-totals of each "group" whether that is based on discipline or otherwise.

I want a parameter that tracks the total number of sheets in the project. I can also see the need for a parameter for sub-totals of each "group" whether that is based on discipline or otherwise.

Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
Our sheets have a sheet number and a sheet total (i.e. Sheet 1 of 100). Currently the sheet total is assigned via a project information parameter and every time a sheet is added or deleted, this number needs to be manually updated to reflect this.

It is too easy to forget to update this parameter.

Workflow:
There might be a parameter called "Sheet Total" and there might be another called "Sheet Total Group" which would reflect the total number of sheets in the group to which the current sheet is assigned.

While this feature is often used by some clients, we achieve the same intent by maintaining a drawing index.

We also have a drawing index at the beggining of the set (first page after the cover). But the powers-that-be want to see sheet x of y on every sheet in the set. And I know we're not the only ones dealing with that requirement. The notion that we should change our standards just because Autodesk (or anyone else) thinks we shouldn't be including that info is ridiculous.
