Summary: any two objects should be joinable provided they have the same material
Description: At the moment there are many types of Revit elements that can be joined, such as roofs and walls, but there are limitations to this -- for example stairs, floors, ramps, toposurfaces which cannot be joined to one another. There is no clear logic behind this limitation and needlessly makes the documentation process more difficult.
It should be a relatively trivial change to make all 3d objects work the same way.
