My mnl file will not load in AutoCAD 2010

Ok, I am going to be stubborn about this but when something works why change it, right?

I have some customized .mnu files that have various tools used by our customers. The files are free and we would like to keep them that way. For all intent and purpose we don't want to have to go back and redo everything as a CUI and to be quite frank I am not fond of the CUI to begin with. I did do a transfer to a CUIx file but I am still having problems.

So long story short, anyone have any idea why the .mnl file is not loading in 2010? I have ruled out all problems by pasting the .mnl lisp code directly into the programs and everything works fine.

Try to place *.mnl to the same folder where *.cuix is placed. To guarantee correct working place this folder to SupportPaths for you AutoCAD profile.

That has been done. We have an installation program that creates the support paths as well as places the files where they should go.


I guess the key thing I didn't state was that everything worked fine until 2010.

Does the MNL filename exactly match the CUIx filename? They must in order for the MNL to automatically load.

I think it does - everything worked until 2010...
Oh, there is one idea! Check all your drives for YourMenu.cuix files and erase them (all). After that reload YourMenu.mnu yo AutoCAD 2010.
Another variant is to create "clear" AutoCAD profile and load YourMenu to it.

Yes it does match. As I mentioned, everything worked before 2010.

I will look into the drives.
