Description: Currently in Revit MEP there is NO pressurized gas system to start new gas systems from which pushes many design teams into AutoCAD MEP or Plant to do the process gas piping. This is a big hole in the software for doing BIM for any type of facility that has these types of systems. This would apply to Petrochem, Semiconductor, and even the natural gas lines that run through most of our country's office buildings and cities. The design requirements of pressurized gas systems fall outside of the current "baseline" system list provided, if full BIM implementation is the goal.

The mixed software environments (and extra effort required to support it) has an extremely detremental impact on the overall efficiencies that should come from moving to a 3D "BIM" workflow. Just a few additional systems would allows us to move completely to Revit and all the productivity gains that come with it.
