Summary: MEP objects are just simple blocks, they should be made from dynamic blocks that they can be made from with visibility states and editable attributes.

Description: MEP objects cannot be easily modified into something else that is similar, for example you can have a "duplex receptacle" on your drawing but due to the addition of a nearby sink it must be a "GFCI duplex receptacle." Changes to this can simply be allowing an editable attribute.

Similar MEP objects would be needed to change a duplex receptacle into single, quad, floor, or ceiling mount receptacle - all easily handled (including the editable attribute) by dynamic blocks.

This effects luminaires, switches and loads of other devices.

This cleans up the mess of having masses of objects to sort through only to find that there is not even something that will work.
