Default Dynamic Construction Setout (X,Y,Z data and table) in Civil 3d?

    Hi guys,

I'm trying to work out the best way to document construction setout in Civil3d.

I am looking for something like a Surface Label that lists Easting, Northing and Level and would update as the Surface changed. I would only have a Point Number shown on the surface (drawing) and the the Easting, Northing and RL tabulated.

Is it possible to create a block that will update automatically with the Surface (snap to surface?) and then use the Data Extraction to create the table? Or are there any functions I can use with Points to achieve this easier?

Thanks very much in advance for your help,
    zack

It should be pretty easy if you set C3D points at the locations you want to label. You can create a point label style to label the point number, northing and easting in plan view and a point table style to include the level. Sorry I'm from the U.S. so I don't know what the RL is that you want tabulated.

    Thanks heaps jpaulsen,

I ended up doing a bit more searching around and did exactly that. Just in case you were interested RL in Australia just means Reduced Level which is simply the z value in real world coordinates.

    Thanks again mate,
