AutoCad 2010 Laggy...how do I turn off 3d settings?

I do not use 3D settings. Would it help to turn them off? If so how do I go about this. AutoCAD 2010. Thanks

Type 3DConfig - then manually tune.

Define "laggy". This could be as simple as snap turned on, or selection cycling, or as complex as orbiting while using a fully rendered visual style.
