Default Can't change parameter from "Instance" to "Type" in template family

    Hello all.
I'm trying to make a type catalog for cable tray fittings using family files from Revits's library. I started from horizontal bend, ladder type ("M_Ladder Horizontal Bend" one, please find family file attached if needed). Some parameter values within the catalog as "Bend radius" or "Tray width" must be constrained, hope you are agree with that. All the parameters within the family I used as template have been set up as "Instance parameters". I changed some of them for "Type parameters" but 5 of them can't be changed (refer to attached picture). What would be a reason? If it's happening because parameters used by formula then why I managed to change "Tray length"? Can that be resolved?
    Thanks beforehand.

These parameters are set by Revit as part of the template for the Family Category "Cable Tray Fittings".

If you change your family category to "Communication Devices" you can then change these parameters to be Type Parameters. They should stay as type Parameters after you change the Family Category back to "Cable Tray Fittings".

I wouldn't usually recommend this though as there is usually a reason that these parameters are set up the way they are.

    Thank you very much, Daniel.
    Yes, it works.
So, my parameters can become "Instance parameters" again one day? Hm-m-m, sounds not very good as I need other people in other company to work with my families so, I'd like to avoid such a scenario. Is any other approach available?
