    Default Convert and Combine

I have multiple Inventor Production Drawing files that i have a set in auto cad .dwg format, inventor .dwg format, and inventor .idw format. I cannot seem to figure out how to put all of one set into a single auto cad .dwg file. When i initially made all the parts up in inventor and made their production drawings I made them all in one file which I then was able to save a copy converted into auto cad .dwg but neither my nor my fathers auto cad system could open saying that they were created in a more recent version of auto cad and when i re-convert that file into 2010 autocad which we can open its seperates the single file into all the individual parts giving each one its own file. Is there any way to combine all these seperate part files into a single auto cad .dwg file?
