    Default Mouse and keyboad

    More of a tip than a trick. I suggest to anyone using AutoCAD to invest in a 5 button mouse and customize your keyboard. As I work I realize I am using a command often so I make a letter fire up the command.

    and if your right handed, get a keyboard with the number pad on the left!!

    Only problem is that the number keys are reversed, i.e.;

    987
    654
    321

    Or just learn how to mouse left handed...cuts down on carpal tunnel and other repetitive injuries, as well (just ask my physical therapist! )

    I had to do that when I broke my finger - it took a little while to get used to, but I got the hang of it. The tough part was trying to write

    If you're 10-key proficient, why?
    It's like if you're a touch typist, why use other than qwerty keyboard?

    A Revit user has tried and adopted voice recognition software...he just says the commands! No more typing at all, but he has to wear a headset.....
