Default block with linking field data when inserted

Is there any way that when you insert a block with a field it automatically lifts other field data already present in the drawing.

Depends on the block and the necessary field data you are trying to use.

    Hi Opie

there is a block in paperspace "existing [FIELD] elevation" I want to insert another dynamic block in another paperspace tab that has a rotation linked to a lookup table.
when the rotation changes using the dynamic action is used. it looks up the table and and updates the "existing [north] elevation".

Any help would be greatly appreciated

In the manual way, I typically would create a text object and create the field referencing which ever element I wanted to reference. Once the field is displaying correctly, I edit the field one more time. There is a text area at the bottom of the dialog displaying the string for the field. Copy that string to the clip board. Return to the space that you want to use this field and place it in the desired object.

As this is a one off problem for me, the manual way is sufficient. I know it may not be sufficient for others, but I do not feel the time necessary for a better solution is cost effective.
