Default Code Plans. Can I place a sheet on a sheet?

Our state requires code analysis sheets on 11x17 sheets, but we also have to place those 11x17 sheets on our 24x36 sheets. We send the 11x17 sheets to the state and put the 24x36 sheets in the construction documents set. My old firm created the 11x17 sheets and plotted them to .pdf then inserted them on the 24x36. My new firm thinks this is a time waster because you have to reprint and reinsert when something changes. Is there a way to place my 11x17 sheets on my 24x36 sheet without going through this process?

Is it critical to have the 11x17 titleblocks on the 24x36 sheets? Or is it more that you have to have that same information in your construction set?

If the latter, I would explore making duplicate, dependent views that are then put on the 24x36 sheets. This would get you the same information without having to export and re-insert.

Yes, it's critical. I just can't seem to find a way to make the title block work. Thanks for your response!

If your code data is all text, then just put it in a legend view, rather than (I'm assuming) a drafting view. You can place a legend view on multiple sheets.

Here's an idea: Create a generic annotation family that is identical to your 11x17 titleblock that can be put on the sheet with the duplicated view. I was going to say to place it in the duplicated view, but I'm not sure that would work.

Create a custom titleblock that is both the larger and the smaller, combine the small one into the large. This way all the titleblock information can fill out properly. Except for sheet number. That will need to be text or a custom parameter. When you load the titleblock into the project you only use this one for this special condition. Create a dependent view of the code plan and put that on this special sheet.
