Then to the OP I would suggest creating a hyperlink, select a view in the dwg to link to, then edit the link description. I will display with the other entity properties when you hover over the entity. I recommend enclosing it in some text so that it stands out better, like "<NOTE>This is my sticky note.<NOTE>". You could make a block with a yellow hatch and an attribute and put it on a non-plotting layer.

I have been using the Hyperlinks and it does work, but it isn't as clean/simple as I would like..... not many folks in my Office use or even know of hyperlinks....sigh.
