Can Autodesk Revit DB Link 2013 export to MS Access 2010?

Anyone familiar with exporting Revit 2013 out? I am missing something when I compare it to the instructional videos on the Net.

I have Revit Arch 2013, MS Office 2007 with MS Access 2010 recently installed on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit machine.

I have installed the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable 32 bit driver that a lot of blogs point to but get nothing in Revit ODBC data base

You just need to make sure you are running MS Access 64-bit since you are likely running Revit Architecture 64-bit.

    Attachment 95755 DoorRelation.JPG

I had it working for 2013 which was simple, but all my projects are now on 2014. Also, Autodesk did something to the program to hugely complicate running it with Revit 2014. Fortunately, we have a part time IT manager who is hardware oriented and works mostly with office-oriented clients, so he knows database installation very well. I watched him install DB 2014 and I don't think I could repeat it without help. Even then, I have a page of notes with 18 steps to dump Revit into Access.

    But it is worth it!

You get a table for every object in Revit!!! The relation table for the whole Revit model will blow your mind! You can then export any table or query to Excel. The attached screen clips show just some of the relations for a door object.

Also, make sure your Access is the 64 bit version, which is not the usual installation. Even Microsoft cautions that many popular add-ons will not work with 64b Access and warns against using the 64b version for every day use. (as if everybody is manipulating a relational database every day) There must be a thousand object types in Revit, and each one is a table in Access, even if it is empty. And each table has a relation to every other table.

Just to close this out. My IT guy has an computer in the basement that has MS Office Suite in 64 bit and he loaded Revit 64 bit. I just then remote in do my export or import, log out and go on my merry way.

Mike is right. There is a lot of data and power in the those tables.
