I just upgraded from 2013 LT to full AutoCAD 2015.
When I insert an older drawing containing all of my standard layers(some of which have spaces in the layer names), the layers appear in the Layer Properties Manager.
When I double-click on one of these layers(named "USIS AV 8DASH LINE") to set it current, it gets a green check mark in the Status columns, showing that it is current, but the active layer of teh drawing does not actually change as shown in the ribbon.
And at the command line, I get errors that say:
Cannot find layer "USIS".
Cannot find layer "AV".
Cannot find layer "8DASH".
Cannot find layer "LINE".
Fuirther clicking on teh layer name in Layer Propertiies Manager sometimes get me into a state where I get popup that says:
invalid characters.jpg
But Help tells me that I can have all characters except< > / \ “ : ; ? * | = ‘
I am wondering if there is some setting or other that restricts layer names? I haven;t been able to find it, if there is.
