Default Changing a line's layer, changes all lines

    Hello,

We are finding that AutoCAD 2014 is exhibiting some strange behavior. When I change a line to another layer all lines in the drawing change to that layer. Lines are refusing to change colour and lines are also still displaying when the layer turned off. Also I have lost the capability to double click on a viewport window to maximise viewport as in VPMAX command.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Andrew

Try listing the line you changed to a different layer. Is it a line, polyline, or a block? Was a color assigned to it? Does double clicking on a viewport border do anything?

Have you tried a REPAIR of the installation from Control Panel yet?

and in addition to Tom/s thoughts, check and see if the lines are part of a GROUP

These are all things that could be related to graphics card/driver.
