    Default AEC Objects

Forgive me if this has been addressed before as I dont get on here much...I have a file that the architect created with ACA 2015 in which the new interior walls are AEC objects. I am running plain 2011 and cannot view these even after I downloaded the enabler. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks for any help!

    Default Re: AEC Objects

2011 uses the 2010 drawing format; 2015 uses the 2013 drawing format. AEC Objects cannot be saved back to a previous file format in any usable state. If you only need the drawing as a (2D) plan background for your work, have the architect export her/his drawing to AutoCAD 2010 format. That will explode the AEC objects to AutoCAD linework (based on the Display Configuration/view direction current at the time of export).

If you need 3D, have her/him do the export from a non-orthogonal view direction with a Display Configuration selected that displays in 3D for such a view direction.
