    Default MTEXT Numbering choices

From project to project there is project specific text we must insert in the original layout/formatting. Several pages worth of text from the DOCX file needs to be inserted as provided. To do this, there needs to be a way to match the existing documentation. Here's an example (sample text is Lorem Ipsum verbiage for example purposes only):

What is the fastest, most accurate, consistent way to do this in MTEXT format?

Instead of pasting the text file into the MTEXT editor you need to import the word document.

First, save the document as a RTF file or Rich Text Format. The RTF file will preserve formatting from application to application. Next start the MTEXT command, right click and select import. Locate the file and import it into the editor.

Sorry. nope. Thank you for the response, unfortunately I get the same results as in the middle shown above.

For some reason it is not handling the double indentation or keep the right justified numbering, changing it to left for the same i. ii. iii. sections highlighted above.

The example is one small section from a multi-sheet word document so the numbered text above and below are all part of the same larger MTEXT object.

Another option is that you can drag the word document into CAD from the file location, this will create an OLE. If you keep the OLE linked to the word document it will update as you make changes to it.

While I am not a huge fan of OLE's, this might offer a solution to the issue with the double indentation.

I hear ya. I really need to keep it as MTEXT. My second choice being an unlinked PDF. Thanks again for trying.

Could you possibly post the word document. I would like to experiment with it on my free time.

Consider an add on... Autoword from CADIG works great!
