Default Autocad block attribute / attsync problem

Hi all, I have created multiple blocks with attributes and created a tool palette.
I have since updated the blocks to allow for background mask and have redefined the block. The problem is, that I have modified the colour of the text on numerous (approx 400) blocks. The colours vary according to the system they are on.
When I perform an attsync, all the colours reset to the original state created in the source block.
Is there any method which I can update the blocks, minus the colour change?
Thanks in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm not sure I understand fully what you're trying to do.
You have a master set of blocks on a tool palette with masks the way want them?
And you're inserting them into drawings that already have these blocks (with the same names) in them?

If that is the case, that is your problem, the inserted blocks will take on the properties of the block definitions with the same names that are already in the drawing after attsync.

You may need to rename your new block(s) and replace existing block(s) with new block(s).

Another option would be to cut/paste the old blocks into a new blank drawing with the new block definitions, then purge the old drawing, then copy/paste those newly defined blocks back into the old drawing.
Just a little trick I use with blocks.

Or maybe this isn't your problem and we need more information?
